Terms & Conditions, Please read fully before booking.
All pieces created by Joanna Design are custom made, hand crafted botanical keepsakes.

The following Terms and Conditions have been designed to make you aware of what happens to your flowers and foliage during the preservation process.

By placing an order, you are accepting and agreeing to the below Terms and Conditions.

The Preservation Process

During the preservation process, all of the moisture is slowly extracted from your flowers. Although the form and shape will stay the same, there may be some slight changes in the colour of the flowers and they will take on a matt “antiqued” look. Red flowers with a yellow undertone keep their colour particularly well but flowers with a blue undertone will darken in tone. eg. a ruby red rose will turn a dark, almost claret colour. True blue flowers will remain true and many white flowers will turn a light shade of cream. This colour change is a completely normal side effect of preservation.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that your flowers arrive with us in the best possible condition. We cannot preserve a flower if it is dead or squashed or in any way damaged. Full packaging instructions will be given to you at the time of booking so that your flowers arrive in the best possible condition at our Studio.

I recommend keeping your flowers in water, in a cool shaded location between your wedding day and arriving with me. If posting, I recommend sending the day after the wedding - first class tracked.

We cannot accept responsibility for any poor results if your flowers arrive at our Studio in a poor condition. We will take all steps possible to salvage any bruised or wilted flowers by trimming or re-hydrating but if any flowers cannot be preserved, we will contact you to see if you would like us to put in replacement flowers. Replacement flowers will incur an extra charge but we will consult with you first before purchasing any replacements so that you know what any additional charges are.

Please note: Some flowers are not suitable for flower preservation, this includes berries and succulents. If your bouquet includes any of the above, they would not be included in your final piece as standard. If you are keen to add in an artificial alternative, this is possible at an additional charge, this will be discussed and agreed before purchasing any replacements.

It is best that I preserve your flowers within 5 days of your wedding date, if you wish to drop off your bouquet with me, I require at least 48 hours notice to ensure that I am either present to receive the flowers or can prepare for your drop off in my absence.

After Preservation

Once your flowers have been preserved, the actual flowers and foliage will last for many years. However, depending on the colour and variety of a flower, the colour may fade and change and we cannot make any guarantees that the colour will last. If the colours of your flowers change more than you’d like, I am happy to colour correct for an additional fee. Your piece must be posted/dropped off back to me and collected when finished.
We will endeavour to reproduce your bouquet as closely as possible to the original. However, there will always be a degree of artistic interpretation to any of our keepsakes not only in terms of design but also because dried flowers are hard and brittle compared to fresh flowers so there is not the same amount of give in them to make it possible to position flowers quite so tightly.

Joanna Design cannot be held responsible for the loss/damage of your flowers whilst in our care due to fire, storm, civil disorder, loss of electricity, flood, mechanical failure or any other event beyond our control. Please note that Joanna Design liability is strictly limited to the amount of money that you have paid and no further compensation would be offered in these circumstances.

A deposit of £50 is required to secure your order. All deposits are non refundable. Please note that once a deposit has been paid, you are committed to following your order through to its conclusion. If for any reason, you decide that you no longer wish to proceed with having your flowers preserved and framed, you will still be liable for the full outstanding amount of your order.

If you have filled out the booking form and not secured your order with a deposit, I cannot guarantee your flower preservation spot. I will aim to accommodate, but during busy periods this may not be possible.

Our prices are all inclusive and are based on the size of the frame and not the amount of flowers within a frame. There is no reduction in the price of your picture if any of included services/products are not used.

All flowers accepted and preserved by Joanna Design will remain our property until all charges associated with the preservation are paid in full.
Our turnaround time is approximately 50 weeks and you should expect to receive your completed keepsake just prior to your first wedding anniversary. However, this is not guaranteed and at our busiest times of the year, pieces may take longer to be completed. We reserve the right to extend the completion time if necessary. This is especially important to note if a final balance payment is not made at the correct time.

All pieces are custom made and completed in accordance with your choice within the booking form. Once we have started work on the final stages of your piece(s), changes cannot be made to these specifications without damaging your flowers.

Depending on the style of keepsake you choose and the condition of your flowers, please note that not every single flower will be included in your display. Whilst we will do our utmost to include as much as possible, it depends on the style of display you choose. e.g. if you choose a downscaled version of your bouquet or if you choose a side view display.

Please also note that any left over flowers not used in the display will not be returned to you.

Our pictures are very fragile when completed and leave our Studio in perfect condition . Although we take all measures possible in order to ensure that your picture is properly protected and packaged up, we cannot be responsible for any particles of silicia/petals that become loose or for any breakages that happen whilst your picture is in transit back to you by a third party. For peace of mind, we STRONGLY recommend that you collect your picture from us in person.

If any damage does occur in transit, you MUST contact us within 3 days of receipt of your picture so that we can take necessary action with our couriers.

In the very rare event that you are not satisfied with your final piece, you must notify us within 3 days of receipt of your picture so that any point(s) of dissatisfaction can be reasonably addressed.

Joanna Design liability is strictly limited to the full purchase price of the picture only.
